“Goofy's Cavalcade of Sports” Production Background (1956) - ID: may24161

A production background from the Disney Studios television series "Walt Disney's Disneyland" (1954-1958). Featuring a gorgeous house overlooking a grassy field, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The background is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode "Goofy's Cavalcade of Sports," which aired on October 17, 1956. Measuring 12.5"x15.5" overall, the background is in very good condition with minor discoloration, a piece of celluloid taped to the top of the background to protect the paint, adhesive residue from production, light edge and corner wear, slight warping consistent with age, and wear to the reverse.
